First Facebook, now Barack Obama on BlackBerry

Barack Obama

Barack Obama fans, this one is for you - you can now call your phone the BarackBerry. We started the month with the Apple iPhone supporting Microsoft Exchange functionality, and now it appears as if Research in Motion is taking another step towards the consumer market. The maker of the BlackBerry device announced that it is partnering with will.i.am and his website, Dipdive, to create a mobile version for BlackBerry devices. The website, heavily geared towards Barack Obama’s presidential campaign, will "bring the artist into a direct relationship with the fan," according to RIM co-CEO Jim Balsillie. Now all we need is Hillary Clinton and John McCain RIM applications - heck, even Ralph Nader may need one. We just find it funny this was announced Thursday, you know, the day Apple announced their SDK and Enterprise details?

I know this is not the right place, but I will say it anyway. Please someone convince Obama to do the right thing and accept being the Vice-President. I like Obama, and I like Hillary. What is dangerous is not knowing how much you don’t know. Obama is young and has a lot to learn, and is not humble enough to admit it. There is nothing wrong it gaining the experience he needs as VP. There are fewer differences then similarities between their policies. Both are good for America, and all this fighting will only hurt all of us by keeping Bush’s buddies in the White House. I like McCain, but please not another Republican administration. I hope I have not offended anyone. Please let’s have a Clinton-Obama ticket in 2008.

I love how ignorant people drop obama’s middle name like he’s a terrorist… Its ridiculous. Just because he has hussein as a middle name, doesn’t mean shit. Fuck, charlie chaplain had a hitler mustache, doesn’t mean he’s a damn nazi!

People like you make me fear america’s future. (Yeah I said it.)

Let’s hear more about those blackberrys now…

Obama is the only candidate qualified for president. Hillary lied because her campaign called the Canadians about NAFTA and then she lied and said Obama did. She also tried to create doubts about Obama’s Christian faith (20 years). And because she lied, she won Texas and Ohio. Just wait till the donors to the Clinton Library come out, the tax papers, and documents from their administration!

Obama has the judgment, wisdom, character, and ability to inspire to lead this country. Create respect for our country throughout the world, and get lobbyists and big corporations out of running the government. He got through some of the toughest ethics legislation both in Illinois and US congress and making contributions to congress available on the internet for ear marks. He and others are working on legislation to make financial donations available to everyone.

Galvatron speaks a bit of truth here… (Can’t believe I agree with him)

I do like the iphones looks, and to be honest a bit of the features like youtube for example, but nothing compares to the functionality of a blackberry. Push email is great. (granted its not html, but its still amazing). Since a lot of my friends have switched to BB, from the iphone, I’ve found I use blackberry messenger much more now. Opera mini for BB, has a safari type feel to it. For those reasons I feel that blackberry is a better solution for my needs. I still use my iphone as an ipod though…

if 3rd party apps is the deciding factor the new sdk will solve all of that…did u happen to see the demo video couple days ago. pushh email on bb is cool but com’on u really can’t wait 5 min to receive ur email…I can understand corporations needing them but once u experience rich html on iphone how can u tel me text email on bb is better? again other than 3rd party & push I still can’t se where bb has advantage even though I’ve never owned once. Barack all the way!
