I agree that they did alot of things first and pretty well, but so did ericson (sp?) and motorola. I would put all three in that category. and Nokia is still great they just dont want to force entry back into the US as they are doing very very well in the rest of the world.

I highly doubt it would be number one because people like me and lots of other REAL tech heads who still build our own computers and give ourselves viruses so we can figure out how to kill them don’t like the companies telling us every time “now this is how you move it and this is the only place you can put it and this is…” it’s annoying and stupid this is why there’s real smartphones with WinMo on them. It’s so us REAL tech heads who still build our own computers don’t feel like our computer world is going to shit with stuff (ex. all of apple) that’s built for a retard to use it (no offense).

As a longtime Nokia fanboy, I can say without a doubt, the OS (Symbian) is a piece of shit. When was the last time the OS didn’t shut down or freeze or lag, c’mon. The iPhone if it had 3G would be hands down the number one phone, until then I have my blackberry.

It really doesn’t matter by the time Nokia gets this phone or any other 3g US phone to the market it will be obsolete. Any one remember the N75 and long that phone took to get to market. Also, the N95 8GB US 3g version still not available. It’s amazing that Apple can get a phone to market on time and will most likely have the 3g iPhone out before any of the new Nokia’s. PS.. was in Chicago this weekend trying to spend money on a new phone at the Nokia store but couldn’t justify any of the Nokia phones when I have an iPhone (not the best but getting better with each update) and a Blackberry Curve.

No, although I like symbian but there are three words that will keep them down: Blackberry, Apple and Android. I would bet on any one of those to gain ground over Nokia at this point.
