AT&T stores to offer refurbished iPhones with new activations, $199 and $249
Don’t want to pony up $399 for an iPhone? We just got word that AT&T is offering refurbished iPhones (with new activations only) for awesome prices! It’s $199 for the 4GB, (wait, 4GB?) and $249 for the 8GB. Let’s call that a steal, alright? Here’s the internal memo:

Refurbished iPhones at COR Stores. For a limited time, select COR stores in the New England Market will offer refurbished iPhones (both 4GB and 8GB) for a special price. These devices are good as new and give customers the opportunity to experience the revolutionary iPhone with big savings. New activations only, upgrades with Manager approval. Refurbished iPhones will only be available to purchase in select COR stores across the Northeast Region and will be available while supplies last. Please reach out to customers that have recently purchased an iPhone to see if they are interested in activating an additional iPhone at a discounted equipment cost. Please note no in-store sales materials should be created. This is to be sold as a closing tool only. Product is available while supplies last from initial shipment. Failure to follow this communication will result in a Code of Business Conduct violation

The Apple Store had refurb iPhones for sale in its inventory earlier this week. The discount was a puny $50 ($349), though, for the 16 gb (made to look larger by using the original $499 as the SRP reference).
They seemed to disappear in a couple of days, so someone must have thought it was a decent deal.
Hmmmm… march 1st hasn’t happened yet. The only place its march first is in japan…

i hate the iphone u cant do anything to it apple has so many rules the tilt is sicker and u can remove the battery so when the battery dies u wont have to spend another 400 dollars on an iphone like an ipod its wack

Confirmed. I bought a refurb 8gb for $249 at an AT&T store in Maryland today.
Give me some 3g some mms and and let me use my itunes as music tones and I,ll think about it.

Ps the other day talking to an apple geek asked him if he could bluetooth me a song like I do on my curve…nope! Also you can’t make your mp3’s ringtones I think. Iphones suuuck!
If you’re on a mac you can use your iTunes music as Ringtones by opening them in Garageband. No extra cost. Just saying… in case you are on a Mac and didn’t already know that.
IPhone was a fad… Everybody wanted it cause everybody else wanted it… Like Tickle Me Elmo. At the end of the day there are better handsets at cheaper prices that do so much more… Why anybody would spend $400 for a Music phone that you cant download music to wirelessly is ummmm dumb!
You can purchase and download music via EDGE or wifi to your iPhone and via wifi on your iPod Touch from iTunes you idiot.
I’m pondering buying 2 refurbs today but have been reading a lot from people stating the only good refurbs are “apple” refurbs. How has yours been? Does it look and function as new?
I got one, it looks and feels new. I’m pretty sure it’s refurbed by Apple.
I’m pretty sure it’s all refurbed by Apple, as they come with FULL 1 year Apple warranty.
Only difference is that they come in these retarded looking ATT boxes instead of the nice cube like white box that Apple uses for their refurbs.
All of you bashing the iphone are idiots. It has the biggest coolest screen, most memory, best way to look at a full internet page. Its an Ipod, if your computer smart, you can hack it to do with it what you want. I had a Tilt and its ok in some areas, but it dont compare to the iphone hands down. you just have to be smart and research. The ones bashing the iphone prob dont even know what 8 or 16 gb is. How could you not love that huge 3.5 in screen, having that alone is worth the price.
