Apple planning on limiting SDK access?
Oh dear. It looks like this one could get bad. Remember Apple’s Town Hall meeting next week to unveil their new iPhone SDK Roadmap? It sounds like the SDK might not be all it’s been hyped up to be. According to several sources, Apple is planning on locking down access to the SDK, hand picking which applications make their way onto the phone, and crippling access to any accessories that use the dock connector. Additionally, there’s good reason to believe that Apple will be presenting an SDK in the very early stages of development when they step up next week. Then again, these are just rumors at the time being. Prove us wrong, Apple. Please. Forget the SDK, just give us full push Exchange so we can point and laugh at RIM.

Why would anyone care when they have a whole host of opensource handsets either on the way or already here on many non proprietary platforms available with better features? And duh, almost nobody will get the sdk, and it will cost hundreds, if not thousands. Also, it will probably only be available to companies who don’t develop opensource software. Google excepted, but they’ll probably boot them off when Android goes public.

HA!! Apple still sucks even when they try to do good.
Guess JailBreaking it is the ONLY way to get a real SDK on that thing.
