Sprint Stirs the Pot with $100 “Simply Everything” Unlimited Plan
Starting tomorrow, Sprint will make their new "Simply Everything" plan available and snag the unlimited crown amongst the major carriers here in the US. Sprint has been toying with unlimited plans in various limited markets for a while now, but Simply Unlimited is significantly more inclusive compared to their trial plans. Their nationally-available plan is in fact far and away the best deal from the big four; the competition doesn’t even come close. It’s a damn good thing too. Sprint needs all the appeal it can get as it continues to hemorrhage subscribers after reporting a record loss of $29.5 billion in Q4 of 2007. So let’s take a look at what $100 gets you: Unlimited voice. Unlimited SMS / MMS. Unlimited push to talk. Unlimited email (BIS and Active Sync / Direct Push included). Unlimited web. Unlimited TV. Unlimited navigation. Unlimited Sprint Music. Woh. There’s also a $5 discount for each subsequent line added in a family plan ($5 off the second line, $10 off the third, etc). We can’t see any other major carrier coming close to matching Sprint’s offer, but then no other carrier has the dire need that Sprint does. If you’re lucky enough to live in an area with good Sprint coverage, Simply Everything is most definitely worth considering.

Sprint had it chance to make a name for itself, now it must play catchup. Show me a positive subscriber base and I will retract my statements.

That last sentence is bull. Sprint has amazing voice coverage, right on par with any other carrier. Data is getting their, they have more EV-DO areas than ATT has HSDPA areas though that is for damn sure. More on this story over at cellformer.

This is a great deal if it truly has unlimited calling and data including using phones as a modem. Most unlimited data plans be it either a blackberry or internet plan doesn’t offer unlimited bandwith while using the phone as a modems. T-mobile being the exeption to the rule. They allow subsscribers to the blackberry or total internet feature unlimited data when using phone as a modem.
T-mobile had an awesome 2007 and Sprint needs to attract more customers if they want to maintain beingthe 3rd largest wireless sevice provider here in the US. T-mobile is more then eager to take that away from them.

Not only do these plans not include PAM (Sprint’s term for tethering), PAM cannot be added as an option. Brilliant.

So Sprint’s is unlimited voice, data, text, e-mail, Web-surfing, TV, music, GPS navigation for $99.
Verizon’s unlimited voice, data, text, e-mail, Web-surfing, (no TV), (no music), GPS navigation is $139.
Umm, can you hear Sprint NOW, Verizon?

Just called sprint to change my plan to the unlimited plan and guess what guys? This plan works on every phone sprint has except blackberry’s! Thats right even though in the ad the first phone pictured is a blackberry 8830 customer service was told not to put this plan on ANY blackberry’s. Once agin sprint YOU SUCK!

Too bad sprint does have unlimited tethering, and who takes Tmobile’s network seriously? It can barely support sidekick’s bandwidth.

What are you talking about? Sprint’s Data works where ever Verizon data works, and if you look at either of the coverage maps that alot more than ATT
