Facebook brings tabs into the mix

It looks like Facebook is planning a bit of a facelift. The company appears to be slowly rolling out a new set of features designed to clear up some of the clutter that began with the introduction of support for 3rd party applications. The latest upgrade is a new tabbed interface for user profile pages. Profiles now sport a three tabbed look that provides a slot for the wall, about section, and photos. It’s not a huge change, but it certainly does make the user experience a bit more pleasant. Facebook has always differentiated itself from Myspace by way of it’s clean and simple user interface, so we certainly support any moves to further that experience.

    Wasn’t this on the iphone first? Wen u access a profile on an iphone its seperated into three tabs. Its a good idea to implement it cause I like facebook primarily cause its simple and easy to use and those damn applications are really annoying

    Yeah, looks like they’re taking a page from their iPhone version. I’m all for anything that will reduce the vertical size of the pages.
