Yahoo Buzz launches…Digg?

A news site that allows users to determine the most prominent headlines by voting for and submitting their favorite stories? Sounds great, right? Sure, but it also sounds a little bit too familiar. Yahoo has just launched their Yahoo Buzz news site, and while it seems to provide a pleasant user experience and polished interface, we can’t help but feel like we’ve seen this all before. Has anyone over at Yahoo heard of Digg? Oh, ok. If Yahoo has any hope of succeeding here, they’re going to have to do something to separate themselves from the undisputed king of user-driven news content, which is a bit of a tall order. Nice try, Yahoo, but we think you’re going to have to be a bit better.
Buzz does not function properly on the iPhone / iPod touch. Visitors must use two fingers to scroll up and down the page. I will not be returning to Buzz.
This is exactly what I would expect of them though haha.
