Palm Centro finally announced by AT&T

As if you didn’t know already. Well, the Centro is officially on AT&T and it’s going for $99 with a 2 year service agreement. Want the hard specs? Quad-band GSM/EDGE, 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, QWERTY keyboard, microsD slot, and support for AT&T’s push-to-talk app. No word on BlackBerry Connect, but we’re guessing the average businessman won’t be dropping any coins on the Centro, so it doesn’t really matter now does it.

Just a little commentary for those Palm hopefuls… this keyboard is REALLLLLY tiny… I saw it in the store, and I swear I could not type on it, just by looking at the keys… they are so small, so this is aimed toward the female hands… as far as I can tell.

I waiting for Tmo to get it…I am a female business user limping along with my Treo 600…I have had great service with them…I refuse to go back to AT&T for many reasons…Verizon could win me over but not yet…Sprint sucks…I love the simplicity of Palm for my uses…phone and business apps…WinMO too complicated on the run although I wait for improvements…yes, no 3g is a drag but for $99 it will get me to the next future with 4g and who know what improved OS will be operating then…so maybe I wait for one of these babys to show up on EBay or?…come on TMo…I am waiting for your announcement for the Centro…maybe purple, yellow…how about a nice slate grey…

If Palm had embraced Wifi like Apple did they would have sold alot more of these. Palm put out a statement on why you fail to put wifi in this product. I love the form factor and touchscreen plus real keyboard but no wifi?

If you look at the AT&T website, the users gave the phone great ratings. Its a shame that it did not come with 3G.
