T-Mobile is gettin’ jiggy with the Nokia 3555

The FCC outed the Nokia 3555 a little while back, and it even told us it would house the 1700MHz band for T-Mobile’s not-launched-yet-but-promised-coming-soon 3G network. We’ve got a hold of the Nokia 3555 slide for T-Mobile, and if all goes according to plan we can expect a March release. The specs are not mind-blowing, but we’ll break it down for ya’ anyway! VGA camera, A2DP Bluetooth, speakerphone, myFaves, microSD slot, voice dialing, and a couple other standard features. Pricing info wasn’t provided to us, but we’re willing to guess it won’t cost you $8M in stolen Sidekicks.

this is the number 1 reason t-mobile will never climb out of the cellar they now occupy. people can complain about the 3g all they want but until they start releasing some phones that are worth a crap no one will care.

In all honesty, thefencechild isn’t far off the mark here. A lot of T-Mob’s phones ARE boring. I’ve been a T-Mob customer for as long as they’ve had the Sidekick and am the kind of person who would buy and use multiple phones. T-Mob’s selection bores the hell out of me, and if AT&T has proven anything with the iPhone, its that an exciting product can overcome tech shortcomings. T-mobile really needs to step up their phone selection.

Agree with William & Fence. They’re phone selection is pretty bland and they introduce new phones at a snails pace. The only advantage Tmo has over the others is their price and their upgrade program. Beats Verizon and ATT in my book. Hopefully they’ll be the first to introduce the BB 9K. Just got the Shadow, but not really in love with the Windows Mob6. I’m ready to move on and it’ll probably be a while until they introduce something exciting in their line-up again.

I really could care less about these 3g phones T-mob are selling.

1)No 3G network to use them on

2)No WinMo devices like the Tilt or Hermes to fully take advantage of this Land of Make Believe 3G network

I am a T-Mo WinMo owner – they are pretty ho-hum. Good customer service and not much else. Not even 3G!

Maybe Customer Service isn’t really that worthwhile. Unless you just want a phone and don’t need data.

T-mobile got jipped on the 3g tell the good ole usa government to get off the network that t-mob bought for over 4 billion and paid for none the less.

as for 3g phone selection for t-mobile why on god’s green earth would the company give u a Super high end 3g hspda device before the networks up.

they have no choice to release phones like the 3555 to lay the ground but when 3 g comes out i gurentee they wil hit hard with a spicy selection of 3g data devices.

T-mobile in combination with all Worldwide t-mob affiliates its a huge company with brilliant people running it. Its sad that so many of you buy into the competitions charge 20% more for 20% less service sales pitches.

t-mobile has the 3g network they own the frequency. it may very well be in almost all the top markets in the country its just off untill the government says go.

By making this cheap phone Nokia’s reputation is in the trash can. The cover of this phone is from a cheap china recycle plastic. Can Nokia say NO when T Mob want cheap product?
Another problem if you don’t align correctly with 6 prong you CAN’T close the back cover.
