BlackBerry 8820 headed to T-Mobile on March 5th?
.jpg)
If some of our tipsters are to be believed, you very well might be able to mosey on down to your local T-Mobile shop and pickup a BlackBerry 8820 on March 5th. We’ve been told the unit will be identical to the AT&T version, but this time around it will support T-Mobile’s Hotspot@Home service (obviously!). We haven’t got our thumbs on the pricing info just yet, but believe you me, you’ll have it when we’ve got it!
Thanks, faithful tipsters!

T-Mobile will be launching the blackberry 8820 w/ gps, wi-fi, and uma support March 5th. The phone is a dark blue, not black. The nokia 3555 (tmo 3G handset) launches the same day. 3G is around the corner…all info is confirmed by t-mobile employees I know.
Well now i have two options for my upgrade (8700). Leaning towards the curve but this might change my mind. Thanks for the info.
This is great…just great…..when in the hell is Verizon gonna get a curve! *sigh*
@MrInfoSys keep dreaming 6monts to a year fro a cdma/gsm hybrid
I have read rumors that VZW may release the curve next month. *crossing fingers!* haha
one again keep dreaing
keep dreaming
Is this your personal speculation or do you have any solid facts behind your skepticism?
I had a Blackberry Curve to go with my T-Mobile hotspot @home. When it worked, it was ok. But it always crashed and even froze the phone.
It got to be such a pain in the ass I threw both away and bought an iPhone, which works much better.
@jdslim:
I dont work for T-Mo. My friend does.
After talking to him again he said he saw a picture of it in an email that went out company wide.
I hope the 8820 comes out in a dark blue collor. Would be to hard for you to know if your blackberry is better then you co-workers if the 8800 and the 8820 look exactly the same hehe
Its the same service, they are just changing the name to take care of the confustion with all of the different “hotspot” services that Tmo uses…
There is talk of he 9000 series coming out in the 4th quarter of 08…
3g is allready here and tmo sells 3g phones, however they are only available in those markets, ny, miami, and la. Tmo also does not yet have any pda 3g phones, and there are no current release dates for them to be. There is speculation that the new 9000 bb series will have a touch screen and 3g components.
Did you ever learn to shut off your black berry, or are you one of the many customers that think thier pda phone is a rotary phone on the wall that never needs to be rebooted? Have fun using the iphone to do basic tasks, oh yeah it doesn’t even send mms…
Bberry not sure where you get your information about Tmoile. I am looking forward to Tmobile having 3G as soon as much as the next fan does.
Tmobile hasn’t announced anything about a soft 3G launch in any markets. I think I would have heardsomething about that and I have visited t-mobile.com and it looks as if the new samung 3g phones are available in all markets not just the 3 you talked about. I have read that testing was being done in several markets and when it does get launched it will initonaly be used to enhance voice service rather then high speed data but nothing was confirmed by Tmobile.
i get my 411 of indirect territory reps n regonal managers and indirect dealers
Lame device. I hope RIMM can come up with a better design than this thumb trackball. Plus, it turns brown after a month of use. Also, the processor is almost ancient.
