Samsung is said to be preparing to drop a pretty major bomb on Mobile World Congress next week and from the sound of things, hopefully Nokia will be paying attention. Nokia’s flagship handset, the N95, could soon be getting a serious run for its money which means that the Finnish manufacturer may actually have to start releasing new handsets as opposed to constantly re-releasing the N95. The Symbian-powered Samsung G810 looks to feature a much more attractive design and specs that may trump the Nseries beast as well. This sleek black slider reportedly packs a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and macro mode just like the N95, but throws 3x optical zoom, anti-shake and face recognition into the mix. Integrated GPS, 150MB of internal memory, 802.11b/g and a 1200 mAh battery are among the additional specs currently available. Compatible frequencies aren’t yet known, but the G810 is said to feature UMTS / 3.6 Mbps HSDPA. The only thing that might ruin the party for us is if Samsung stays true to form and omits 850 Mhz. Oh and there’s just one more problem; how does a €580 ($860) price tag sound?
