MacBook Air unboxing!

We hope you didn’t think we were going to forget about this! Apple’s MacBook Air gets the unboxing treatment here at BGR, and we have to say, this thing is pretty hot! Sleek, slender, impossibly thin — it’s hip. We heard about the tinny-sounding mono speaker but it actually wasn’t that bad. The screen? Awesome! The keyboard is obviously completely functional, and the speed of the 1.6GHz isn’t going to blow any Final Cut users away, but it should get the job done. Any questions? Drop a comment and we’ll answer ‘em.

This laptop looks sweet. I am bit concerned about durability given the thickness, but it is a game changer

very sexy laptop. would LOVE to win one!

one question…since it doesn’t have firewire, does that mean it can’t use the migration assistant?

Looks cool, very thin. Was at a store and there was a crowd around it. I would like one though as I do need a general home PC/Laptop!

I think Apple mis-priced this model. It’s a slick piece of kit to be sure, but $1800?! Not with the basic MacBook hovering at around $1300. And where’s the native iSync support for my Blackberry 8800?

This is amazing. I walked by an Apple store the other day and even after touching it I still couldn’t believe it was real. My phone is thicker than the Air. Definitely innovation at it’s best, it has made me want to convert to a Mac. It’s now on my wish list!

Looks amazing. Honestly, I think this fills a niche, for a COLLEGE STUDENT! Think about it, a nice desktop at home, or in the dorm, and something nice and portable to take to lecture. Perfect.

I tried this machine in the apple store and it is pretty sweet. It does omit a lot of particulars, but if that software works the way it’s advertised>>no problem. It’s heavier than it looks, but it feels light enough. I just wonder about battery life.
