Not that this is the biggest deal in the world, but for those hopin’ and wishin’ and prayin’ to get a MBA as fast as possible, you’ll be able to run down to your local Apple store to grab one on Tuesday! Here’s the deal: stores have them, no question because they arrived Friday / Saturday. But, since Steve-O said “2 weeks,” it’s 2 weeks, ok? Product banners and visuals will go up on Monday night in all Apple stores for the official “launch” on Tuesday, and the Genius Bar employees get their official training tomorrow. Wait, didn’t we practically say this? Oh, yeah, we did!
UPDATE: Looks like it might be Wednesday now!
oh goodie, another over priced apple that will be released before it is really ready. I hope the geniuses pay attention during training.

I just spoke to the Apple store in NYC, they don’t have Macbook Air’s. The guy said to me, “I wish we did.” Doubt they would be in the store when my pre-order from day 1 is still status quo unsent.

The MBA is cool but its over priced and it can break easily. i think that it should be priced at 2$ because its a waste of money. But it looks cool!!!!

I’m not buying one - gotta have my relatively full-featured MBP - but where do people get the idea that the MBA will break easily? I’ve seen this repeatedly (in blog comments) but it seems to have started in blog comments. To my mind, as it is the only aluminum cased machine at three pounds, it’s probably the sturdiest in it’s class. Also, it’s cheaper than a Vaio TZ at 1ghz, 11 inch screen, keyboard slightly larger than a blackberry. It’s a bargain, if that’s what you’re after.
This is simply my opinion, of course, I haven’t gotten to lick one like Meredith Viera has.

There are at least 3 Apple Stores in the Phoenix area. Chandler, Scottsdale, and San Tan Village. Triangulate your coordinates and you might find one near you.
