Video and screenshots of Windows 7?

Well, we’re not entirely sure. Think Next has presented what they claim to be screenshots and video captured from an early beta (or Alpha) release of Microsoft’s next-generation Windows operating system. The new platform, simply dubbed Windows 7 at the moment, has been a topic of great conversation as of late, with the underwhelming performance of Vista forcing eager consumers to look towards future product releases for solace. Judging from the screen captures, the interface looks very similar to Vista’s, with a lot of Aero effects popping up. There’ a new boot screen, and there appears to be a significant increase in shiny eye candy, but not much else appears to have changed. Sure, this could all an elaborate hoax, but believing is more fun, right?

This is cool and all. But when I think about it Microsoft hasn’t delivered on a good well working OS since like… well never. So why would anyone wait for this Windows 7, it should be called Windows never. I chucked a duece up at Bill Gates and Company early last year in favor of Unix, and Unix-like desktops and I haven’t looked back since!

Watch, it’s probably something gay like SP2 for Vista that re-brands it to Windows 7 and adds the new shiny things.

XP is the best Windows and I’m a stickin’ to it.

Why is it alway that the most exciting new feature of a new WIndows release is the new default desktop wallpaper?

This is a very early build in the development cycle, so you will not be able to see any major differences in the GUI. That is why it looks just like Vista.

so that means windows 7 is just like a sp2 version of vista until microsoft actually hacks into their own code and does some major resurfacing i guess.
