Everything Up and Working In the us but not here in uk, does anyone know if it is actually working in the US and anyone found a way to rip the drm off it as i dont think tunebite and sound taxi work?

For anyone that is interested you can download software now, and FYI they use SongBird.exe if you look it up it is from the mozilla project songbird. The service isn’t fully up yet either.

Can u actually download the file(s) to your computer? If it were DRM protected, then go get Tunbite.

Ruckus.com’s stuff is all DRM protected but Tunbite can rip them into non-DRM copies by simply just saving the sound that comes out of u speakers as u play it on your computer and saving it into mp3 or other format u choose within their software and not by cracking DRM itself.

p2p isn’t necessary if you’re not trying to protect yourself from legal liability. People will always prefer a website with instant access – that’s why people are much more likely to view movies and shows on sites like youtube (although it’s harder to find them now that tvlinks has gone)
Anyway, with this in mind surely qtrax is going to face an uphill battle against imeem.com and spiralfrog.com which both give free, legal and importantly instant access to the tunes and won’t leave users download sitting around waiting for a peer to come online with the track in question.

Maybe they can do some kind of checksum that verifies the files, since the labels support it.. or even a UPC like some of the subscription-based services use to identify music.
