TeleNav goes international, launches TeleNav with T-Mobile UK

Feeling a little behind across the pond because you can’t get your GPS rockin’? TeleNav has just launched their GPS Navigator program directly with T-Mobile UK. It runs £49.99/year and includes the usual goodies like 3D maps, voice and on-screen turn-by-turn directions, and access to millions of business listings. And heck, if that’s not enough, I guess you could always ask them to sponsor your party

If we bought one of these models unlocked, could we use TeleNav here in the US using T-Mobile USA’s local network?

You would think they would at least use the Metric system :-)

Last time I checked, the Brits still use Imperial units for roads so putting distances in metric would be a bit silly.

Also, you can’t get *your* GPS rockin’. Not “you’re.”

This really wasn’t surprising to me. I had an interview with them a few months back and they told me that I’d be working with their international stuff. I got a better offer from another company though.
