Samsung i900 Mock-up Surfaces; Origins Unclear

After careful analysis, days of scrutiny, and tens of thousands of dollars spent on research, our experts are 57.4% certain that the image above originated from Italian mobile site cellularmania.com. They have also determined that there is actually a mock-up of a mobile phone hidden somewhere in there! That’s right. Hidden behind the insanely obnoxious watermarking is what sounds like a beast of a handset. The upcoming Samsung i900 will reportedly be unveiled at next month’s Mobile World Congress and if the specs are accurate, this will be quite a device. Starting with Windows Mobile 6.1 hiding behind a 3.5" 240 × 400 pixel touchscreen, this phone looks like it should be able to keep up with the big boys without a problem. Features include a 5-megapixel camera, integrated GPS, microSDHC support and a FM Radio. In terms of connectivity, the i900 reportedly sports quad-band GSM, HSUPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR and TV out. Other notables include streaming media support, MSN Messenger and the Opera 9.0 browser out of the box. Of course all of that functionality needs juice so Samsung will supposedly be stuffing a generous 1500 mAh battery in there to keep it ticking. If everything shapes up like this for the i900, Barcelona should be a good time for the Samsung team. Please hold while we have our assistants charter us a plane to Spain. Ok, we’re done.

I think you missed the part where it said “quad-band GSM.” Seeing as Verizon uses CDMA… I’m somehow thinking it’s unlikely to go to Big Red.
