BlackBerry 8xxx hails from Rogers!

While combing through our very special delivery one more time, we noticed something that looked a little out of place. There was a black rectangle box covering up something on the BlackBerry 8xxx slide. When we moved it, guess what was there? Yes, folks. The Rogers branding. While it isn’t the biggest news, this just confirmed something we already knew, and heck, who could resist posting an ultra-super-clear shot of the BlackBerry 8xxx? Enjoy!

Don’t get me wrong - its iphone all the way but this is a great looking device (for a non-touchscreen one).

Maybe because the big Vodaphone presentation package was in PowerPoint? Someone probably just reused a graphic of the 8xxx and neglected to alter/remove the Rogers logo and replace it with Vodaphone’s.

That’s one beautiful piece of hardware. The Curve looks like a young teenager compared to this elegant beauty.

@mobile_pheen, there have been a few suggestions like yours in recent times basing the next 8000 series device on RIM’s domain holdings. Do a lookup on practically any domain incremented by 10 (8910, 8920, etc) and you’ll see that RIM is also the owner. They made a huge registration push last February, which resulted in a lot of false domains. The 9000 series domains, on the other hand, are pretty much bare (unless something has changed in recent weeks).

This device should be in the evolution of the 8800 series, so I would think of something in the 8800 range, such as an 8840, or the 8900 range (not 8920).
