Vodafone Roadmap: Palm Wanda!
We told you there are devices, as in plural, remember? The second exclusive Palm handset we’ve got the info on is codenamed the Palm Wanda. Think of it as a cross between the Palm Centro and the HTC Touch. No, like really, look at the backside on that thing! It looks to be a standard affair, running Windows 6.1, well, Standard. Hit that with a tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE radio (boo!) and some UMTS/HSDPA action, and you’ve got a Palm Wanda. A 2 megapixel camera, QWERTY keyboard, and GPS are also not left out of the equation. Vodafone said it themselves, this is the successor to the Treo 500v! You know we roll, after the jumpage!

Is this going to be the size of the Centro or the 500v?
Because the Centro is smaller, right?
And this looks almost identical to the Centro, minus the back design.
Where’s the Wifi love?
Looks interesting. Odd that they say 320 x 240 on a 2.2″ screen. Maybe a typo? I would expect 240 x 240 or 320 x 320.
But other than that, it seems like a nice device.
And still…Palm fans wait for the new OS.
looks generic, blame HTC for that.
Only thing thats putting me off
.
AND WHAT ABOUT FRANCE ?
A France of Liberty where, by law, a customer is not attached, to a telephone company – and so has the right to choose one … where an unlocked PALM (and not Window ) should be offered… You have lost there most of your customers by your stupid blindness… The world does not work like America (even Germany with its Vodafone monopole). And the rest of Europe discovers open creativity and freedom …So I wish to know when Palm is going to love his on child and offer a PALM SYSTEM FULLY EQUIPED ( WiFI of course even an Fm radio) and a LARGE SCREEN… A non freezing software…
I an sticked with my Palm 680 (almost 4 years now ! ) waiting a SMART MACHINE — because artists and creative business people are mostly on MACINTOSH and NOT Window…. We want a machine with FM, dictaphone, WiFi and a GPS at least. And a LARGE screen because nobody today is surfing ethe Net on a post office sized stamp screen…
I have never seen a such stubborne company like Palm!
I’m not thinking. because it is very cost to me. If i could use it…:
