Vodafone Roadmap: BlackBerry 8110!

This looks like the first BlackBerry Pearl 2 Vodafone’s going to get, and you shouldn’t have to wait much longer. We’re hearing rumblings of a…yeah, right! It’s right on the slide, and it’s a January release date! This particular model in the BlackBerry Pearl lineup is one we told you about, and that’s the BlackBerry Pearl 8110. This particular model incorporates GPS, but not Wi-Fi. Nothing looks out of place here, so you should fine the regular quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE radio in there, along with a 2 megapixel camera, SureType, and everything else. There doesn’t seem to be a price listed which is a little strange given the release timeframe, but we’re guessing it won’t hurt your pockets too much. Just remember what’s around the corner chaps…

I think it’s going to have a 1.3mp camera because it has the keyboard of the 8100, and the ones with a 2mp camera [8120 and 8130] have a redesigned keybarod.

Or it will have the redesigned keyboard, and not the one shown.

Wth. The picture shows a first generation Pearl. There must be a mistake. You can tell in two places. First, the buttons around the trackball are the ones used in the first Pearl. The second generation had wider buttons vertically. And if you look closely at the side there is no memory card slot hatch. So either that is a mistake and a Pearl 1 is depicted, or they took a Pearl 2, gave it the keys of a Pearl 1, and removed the sd slot. And I doubt they went through the downgrade hassle.

It is a pearl 1 shot, Voda used the wrong one although I don’t know if that’s intentional or not.

Oh and it definately has a 2mp camera

Or how about the fact that maybe he has not seen the original 8110 and is just using the 8100 picture as a display? Anyone thought of that before???

I just need some basic help, I upgraded today from my RAZR that I’ve had for years. I’m not tech savvie but thought I’d be better off w/ this phone due to a new job – when I say new, I mean NEW I am creating the SOP as I go along. I read all the user guides – put their CD ROM in my laptop and all I want to know is how to get back to the phone’s list of ringtones, not downloads. I can’t believe there isn’t any way to get there. Thanks.
