I need help!!! I’ve searched ‘a lot’ on the net but this is the closest i’ve come to finding anything about the phones i saw earlier this week…
I work in London and recently met some guys whose company who have given them new Nokia smartphones to test for Vodafone UK.

These devices are almost identical to the N95 in appearance (maybe slightly bigger dimensions and definitely fatter). Instead of a vertical slide, they have a qwerty keyboard that slides out from the side. (so you turn the phone on its side to use the keyboard). They run Windows Mobile and have a touchscreen and stylus so you can play bubble breaker… 3-3.2Mpixel camera, video camera and the guys tell me they have a really crap battery life. They also have an email system that works similar (maybe same) as blackberry.

does anyone know anything about these phones?

if it’s candybar and qwerty then it’s using the e70/6800/6820 form factor.. don’t know of any other way they could do it.

I bet the new N-series qwerty phone will have a slide out keyboard that opens along the long side. That way, it would have a nice big screen and big keyboard. Whatchu think?

Bah, I dont want my Nseries flagship to be querty – such a waste of space. A standard keypad is a far better playoff – that with a nice large screen (VGA) slightly thinner and sexier GUI please!

An Nseries QWERTY is the only thing that is a worthy replacement for my N95.

Wow.. What a great combo the Eseries and N Series would make..

I just love the qwerty on my E61i but its not less RAM .. Would love to have RAM and paging like the N958gb

So the next series of nokia phones would be called ENSeries – The enterprise entertainment series phones ..

@Galvatron- yes, Nokia Roadmap was referring to the fact that Asia is one of Nokia’ largets markets. The number four apparently sounds like an Asian language’s word for death- so they avoid it. That’s the story I heard. At any rate, this is why we don’t se N94, N74 etc…

So anyway- Zach it sounds like we’re getting closer to release dates and announcements? It’s certainly no September to March announce-release like the N95. I guess that’s a good thing, but it really gets the rumor mills working overtime- and as it’s quite apparent that Nokia has gotten pretty lousy with keeping secrets lately, that is unlikely to change.

Perhaps this is also a good thing…? Either way- someone’s got balls to be taking all these “N96″ and “Exx” pics!

yes, but the device you showed in that eralier post was the E71. and of course its not the N98 since there was no N97 yet. Only the letter 4 is left out (its an asia thing)
