BlackBerry 9000 surfaces?

Who knows at this point, honestly. From our own mock-up, to many other ones online, it’s going to take a lot to convince us. That said friends, this does look pretty legit if it turns out to be true. We’ll let you all debate whether you like or not. Is that a touch screen on there? Nope, don’t think so!

P.S. See that silver / chrome bezel around the device? We’ve heard it is actually aluminium! Aluminium is a go for the BlackBerry 9000! Also note the external microSD slot on the left side

Thanks, MiBlackBerry!

it certainly would be sweet if that really is the new blackberry. However it looks like the new verizon Motoq. Could it possibly be the verizon curve?

The keyboard looks like the one from the Q9 when you first glance at it, but it really looks like the 8800’s.

    Great.

    The 8800’s sucks.

I really hope this one’s better.

I think it looks very legit.

    And very cool.

The curve is the same look and feel across the board/different carriers. If this is legit, it’s a different model altogether. (I have both the 8320 from T-Mobile and the 8310 from at&t — no difference whatsoever layout/design-wise. FYI.

I agree the curve sucks but it’s still the best blackberry made. This is a good looking device I just hope the screen gets a bump in quality. Anyone who honestly thinks RIM is going to sink money into a touchscreen consumer device is stupid.

I thought the same thing about the q9, I think it has to do with the red number keys. It’s a little to ugly for RIM.

it could be fake but it almost looks so bad that it has to almost be true. If it is the new series it looks great. I hope we get more leaks soon.

Definitely 3G (you can see the front-facing camera for video calls) but will it truly be 3.5G HSDPA? If not, then the rest of the world will go on ignoring anything RIM puts out. Sorry.

That would be the LED indicator light…no front-facing cam here.

“If not, then the rest of the world will go on ignoring anything RIM puts out. Sorry.” You’re kidding me right? You can’t tell a status light and a front camera apart, but you feel that you are informed enough to give opinions on the popularity of one of the world’s most popular cell phone manufacturers? Corporations don’t care if their lemmings can surf the internet on 3.5g speeds. 2.5, 3g is more than enough for email and IM.

i love these “industry experts” that post on here saying that if it doesn’t have 3G its going to be a flop! hehe thats why blackberry have 11 million users, funny that! if you’ve ever used a blackberry you will realise there is currently no need for it! i constantly beat 3g devices on a head to head race! whys that,oh yes cos 3G coverage is still rubbish!!im not saying i would appreciate 3G, itd be nice now and again but not a feature im missing!! i wouldn’t slate something i have never used, which im almost positive most of the haters out there haven’t actually tried it! blackberry users are die hard for a reason, cos the product is excellent and always will be!

Interesting, but something just does not look “right” about this especially the top keys, it looks like those keys from the “rip off” blackberry that we seen a while back, but I do dig the colors going on, but I still have to question the authenticity of this pic due to some personal reasons :P

I keep looking at this device, and it looks remarkably like the Motorola Q9h, or Q9m from Verizon.

I am not sure how I feel about that keyboard, although the Q9h’s keyboard has received fantastic reviews. I feel like the 8830’s keyboard could have been much better.

If it is a photoshop job, then it was done pretty well.

Looking forward to more updates on this device.

Have to agree with Zobi, I beat a htc kaiser on loading a web page when he has full 3G. He mauy be loading the full page but who cares, I get full text and pics formatted for my screen. I believe RIM has something cool going in the background when it comes to web sites’ DNS info. I digress though…this is definitely not photoshopped and definitely not a verizon curve…
