Tried just switching the xbox settings to 480P and it did the same thing; the screen would blink a couple times and then go black. You could hear the sound, but no picture. Works great with HD DVD (now dead obviously) and with games, but flat out does not work with regular dvd's. Therefore in my mind its a complete waste of money. My cable box has the port but Cox Kansas can't seem to get the port authorised and I know the cable's good.
