Panasonic steps up to the plate with massive HDTV

This years CES will no doubt play host to a number of exciting product unveilings, and Panasonic is getting ready to take advantage of the upcoming trade show to unleash a beast on an unsuspecting public. The company is about to unveil a brand new plasma-screen TV. Nothing crazy there, but get this…the new plasma will reportedly sport a 150" screen. This move will thoroughly trounce the current contender for "biggest consumer  flat panel TV," a title held by Sharp’s measly 108" LCD screen. No word on pricing or specs, but expect this bad boy to command a healthy premium over your run-of-the-mill sub-100" Plasma screen if it’s even available for purchase.

i dont see it as useless but at the same time how many people really need a 150″ TV. Cool but unpractical and a waste of $$.
