I am a huge fan of Sony, I think they make the best televisions out there, hands down, and all my electonics purchases are Sony. My best friend and I both own SXRDs; he has a 60" 2000 series and I have a 50" 2020. I believe this is the best TV out there. The best LCDs (even Sony!) still have artifacting and motion blur, and I still haven't found a better color scheme on any TV than on the SXRD. I was looking to buy a 60" or larger SXRD for my basement a couple years from now. It's a shame that won't happen now. I think this is unfortunate. Sony has offered the SXRD 70" on their dealer order sheets. It's wrong to pull the plug on them without honoring existing orders. Many customers have been counting on this TV. I designed an entire entertainment system and built in cabinets around this unit and decided to hold off until the new model was (supposedly) available in Jan 2008. Now I get to try to find another TV in the same price point that will deliver comparable quality. I know one thing - I will not buy Sony!!! What a terrible customer service decision. See ya Sony!
