i just orderd the 819 and if you want a simple enough 3g this is the phone for you. I also have been with tmo for 5 years i love the plans and i know that i would not get these hind of deals anywhere else…………tmo i thank you

Anybody have this phone? I see it’s a couple years old, but it’s a free for upgrade (upgrade fee and shipping notwithstanding) at this point.

1st, yes the government is taking that long to vacate it. Its the freaking US government, think about how slow they are to do everything else. 2nd, as for tmo not offering WM devices, they don’t because it ends up costing them more in the long run doing exchanges because microsoft is the most unreliable OS in existence. Why offer a plethora of phones that they’ll just end up replacing constantly? 3rd, expect tmo to be rolling out their 3G as soon as the gov’t pulls their heads out.

I find it interesting that in the technical specs on the so far released 3g phones t-mobile mention the 1700 frequency on the website (which is what the 3G will run on).. unless I’m missing something

I’m frustrated too. I’m tired of Tmo USA being so far behind in technology when their parent in Europe is so far ahead (At least on par with all the other carriers). I love Tmo for phone.. rarely, if ever, do I have issues. The 5000 minutes plus all the other features on my plan would cost more than double on AT&T. As much as I’d love to have access to better phones, it’s not worth it. But.. I would like to be able to make a call, receive / send email .. and at high speeds. Again.. TMo dropped the ball… and it’s frustrating b/c the delays are longer and longer…

when is the Kaiser coming to Tmo? when is Tmo getting the Q9h? MDA was ok…..mine died…so i’m left with this P.O.S. Wing.

I feel that Tmo dropped the ball big time. crap devices, no contemporary high speed service. I don’t care for ‘Berrys. AT&T has a bevvy of WM toys. Why can’t Tmo do better?

wow, the sales rep told me on saturday that a new samsung 3g slider was coming in jan… and here it is.
he also said that by Q2-Q3 2008, 3g data will be up and running on tmo, while prior to that they will test voice on 3g n/w (??)

Seems like a nice enough mid priced phone with decent dpecs but I’d take my blackberry curve anyday.
