I too have the 755P and a mac OS and I am able to sync. you must have the wrong software or didn’t install it correctly

I have a 755p (verizon) and I hate it. I should mention that I’m a mac user at this point…I bought the phone because I had heard good things about Palm and was promised that the phone would sync with mac. It does not sync with mac (at least not OSX 10.5) Yes, I tried iSync, hot sync and active sync, none work. I tried to do an update today and guess what? If you are a mac user you have to have a miniSD card to update! They want me to spend more money to do updates, ridiculous!!! Not to mention it freezes all the time, constant problems with volume buttons, the browser sucks, and did I mention it doesn’t sync with mac? You shouldn’t have to be an IT person to work a damn phone.

Just comment re: the 755P; the first one I received from Verizon had a defective microphone, the second has a problem with a very long delay (4-5 seconds) before the screen returns to the main phone dialer screen(after “hanging up” a previous call). Verizon Technical support has been able to duplicate the problem, and has no solution yet. If you’ve owned previous Treo’s you will be very disappointed in the performance of the 755P.
As for me, I’m going back to the 700P until Palm/Verizon gets the problem fixed.

I am a Realtor and upgraded to the Palm 755 on 12-18-07. I liked the functions but am very upset because on 2-1-08 while entering an address, it froze and crashed! Verizon techie said they would send a reconditioned phone because it was over the 30 day warranty. I am very upset and should have checked into the iphone but am not sure if att works well in my area.

Believe the price!! Just got a ‘new’ 755p company issued phone and the invoice from VRZ that was included showed a retail price of $519.99, but we got a discounted price of $329.98… Such a deal to upgrade from a 650!!. Glad I only carry it and not pay for it.

funny how everyone complains about the outdated technology being sold as “new”…..but won’t it be the same thing every time a “new” phone gets released by Verizon? or do you think next years phone is going to be current with technology? that’s why people by it when it’s finally available.

The phone includes a $50 MIR, $100 off with data pland and $100 off with NE2, if eligible.

So, with a new 2 yr. contract the phone is $300 and if you are an existing customer the phone will be $200.

Still a bit steep, but there is a lot of discounts on the phone.

I’m not even sure why companies are still selling the treo. I was once a treo lover (650 with Cingular, 650 unlocked with TMO, and the 700W with Verizon), but got tired of the constant crashes. The BB has since replaced my Treo habbit. I’m just shocked they still push these devices out there. These models are old. Treo needs to revamp their line if they want anyone to buy. Considering the lack of sales, I guess the hope is for the die hards to pay the price to generate enough revenue for an old, aging line. Who knows…but the price is insane if correct.

AT&T has never had the 755p. You’re thinking of the 680 (which is like a lower end 755p with no 3G) or the 750 (which has 3G but is a WinMo device).

That looks like a new email client, I wonder if there’s an update for the Sprint 755p in the near future…hopefully that won’t turn out like the 700p update.

Oh, and that price is ridiculous, I don’t understand how Verizon ever hopes to sell it for that much.

Buy the Pearl for way less money. I was a Palm diehard until they fell asleep at the wheel. If this pricing is real this is a joke and should cause more jobs to be lost at Palm.

If you look at the retail pricing for Verizon’s other Palm artifacts ($499.99!!) then you shouldn’t be surprised at the $569.99 retail price.

I think it’s the name they are selling. Centro doesn’t have the Treo name attached to it. And as long as people remain ignorant it’ll sell. It’s like the differences between a 3 series BMW and a 7 series. At some level they both still the same thing. And the simplest way to put it is people want what they want.

449 can’t be right. I’ll believe $249 or even $199 (but I still wouldn’t get it,) since this is basically a 3 y/o phone. VZW customers would have to be out of their minds or really desperate to get this.

Their not alone RIM / Blackberry does this as well. Its because VZW and SPrint often get their CDMA devices way way after they get released to the GSM companies.
