Sidekick AIM issues
Are you a Sidekick user that’s been having significant issues with AOL Instant Messenger on your device? You’re not alone. Instant messages are being delayed, sent out of sequence, and in many cases not going through at all. T-Mobile, Danger, and AOL have all acknowledged that the issue exists, but have no projected date of resolution. T-Mobile claims that it’s an AOL issue and, as such, won’t provide anything in the way of support, answers, or account credits. AOL, in typical fashion, acknowledges the problem but refuses to provide any details about its specifics. The problem has, by many accounts, been going on since late November. The issue appears to be present on all current Sidekick devices, including the new LX and Slide. This sort of issue is nothing new for the Sidekick faithful, but the fact that its been going on for so long without resolution doesn’t seem to bode well. T-Mobile, usually known for their pro-active approach to customer relations, seems to be denying any culpability, despite the fact that they specifically advertise the Sidekick’s AIM service as a selling point of the device. First the Slide fiasco, and now this…it’s been a bad fall for the Sidekick.
How do you format your away messages without all that br br garbage everywhere?
I am having tons of aim problems. It lags like crazy sometimes, signs me off without telling me it’s signed off (the messages never get sent either), disconnect/reconnects me so much it gives me an error saying I’ve been trying to sign on too much, and I’ve currently been waiting almost an hour for my boyfriend’s messages (as well as my own) to send.
all I gotta say is that its wack how u can’t sign into two aim accounts at the same time.like I do it with myspace.so im just waiting for the next model2come out . I got the lx and I feel it shoulda had video on it2.
Ugh, it’s terrible and never changes. I have the sidekick 3 and its getting pretty crappy too.

what did they tell you to do?
I have the same problem 2…it always signs me off & says I’m signed on in 2 places when I’m not, its been doing that for 2 days now. Idk what 2 do… its really pissing me off…it also says I’ve been disconected from the aim server, then it signs me bck on…. wtf is going on?
I have the sidekick 3 , this shits wack! I cant wait too get an 08!

My sk lx’s aim works just fine I don’t have any problems with it
ma away message on aim(sidekick 08) is spaced out like if i write line of away message i skip 1 line nd rite another 1 it have a big white space in the middle den wen u scroll downn u c ma away message nd dats not wut i want it…sumbody please help me fixed this please@!!!!
