Control Pro Tools with your iPhone
We see a lot of stuff around BGR World Headquarters, but it’s not often that a product jumps out at us like this one. Developer Alex le Lievre has created a program that allows him to seamlessly control his Pro Tools LE system from an iPhone (or iPod Touch if that’s your flavor of choice). The interface on the iPhone screen very closely mimics the mixer layout from Pro Tools, and the program seems to respond quite well to shifts in device orientation. There appears to be little lag, too. For the moment, little outside of faders and the mute/solo buttons look to be accessible at this time, but for a handheld remote, that’s not bad at all. It’s currently in version 0.0.1, but if all goes well we could see a widescale release sometime next week. Nice work, Alex!

Wow, that’s awesome.
How is this a hit to the music industry? Gotta love the pessimism.
