Try phones with tryphone

It’s cold and dark outside, so who wants to walk all the way down to a store and ask the grumpy sales clerk to let you fiddle with one of their phones? Trying a cell phone online has long been a wish from most of us, but unless you were interested in a Sony Ericsson, then fat chance of that happening. Apparently the good people behind tryphone have heard our collective late night mournful cries and made a site that allows you to test out phones online. Ooh fancy! They only have a handful of phones currently, like the Apple iPhone, BlackBerry Pearl, and Samsung Juke, but we guess more will be added in the near future. It’s not just a quick demo, it is fully interactive, and actually kind of cool. Hit the link to try out your next impulsive gadget purchase!

They need to have more accurate controls. I have owned the Pearl and the iPhone and both of there interactive versions do not fully represent the actual user interface and show you all of the options. Its a good start though….

Controls are horrible, If i was RIM, APPLE or some others i might go after the site because it doesnt do their phone justice.

It represents all 20 or so iPhones I’ve used perfectly; constantly freezing and some of the “buttons” don’t work. Then again the iPhone was the only one I tried since I was looking at one for a long time trying to figure out about how much I could give up and still be happy with my phone.

Jeff B. can no other phone be good at all? You seems to troll like Galvatron to trash the iphone and pump up the tilt. So defensive.

Others can I just feel $299 for an iPhone is a rip-off. To me it should be about $99-$149.

If you throw in 3G I’ll hit $199.

Tryphone is okay, but check out GSMLive.ro phone simulators here: http://www.gsmlive.ro/telefoane/Apple/iPhone/simulator. You can see far more of the actual phone (there are also Nokias, SonyEricssons, LGs etc), you can scroll it like the real iPhone, you can search its content!
