HTC enjoys record sales in November

It’s always nice to see an innovative company reap the financial benefits of its labor, right? HTC enjoyed record sales during the month of November. The company pulled in $14.5 million last month, which is up from $10.6 million during the same period in 2006. For you math nerds, that amounts to a 32.74% yearly increase, which is pretty sizeable. We’re guessing recent product launches like the TyTN II and Advantage, as well as the growing popularity of smartphones in general, had a lot to do with the success, which is reflected in the company’s current yearly revenue total. The numbers for December are obviously not in yet, but thus far HTC has pulled in $107.2 million, up from $98 million during the same period in ‘06. A 9% increase never sounded so sweet.

Don’t forget those of us on Sprint that purchased the Mogul (PPC-6800) back when the iPhone was still $600. It’s still a great little device, despite maybe Bluetooth and battery life issues.

Anything with 3G has low battery life and when you can’t switch it back from 3G to EDGE or something, that doesn’t help. Except for the iPhone, that thing has the worst battery life of any classified smartphone I have every used.
(I use classified because it’s not really a smartphone, just a dumbphone with pretty pictures and happy colors woven into a touch screen.)

Jeff B. you again have no idea what you are talking about. Did you actually own an iphone? no
It last almost 2 days without charging for me, thats pretty good in my opinion. Large screen eats battery but iPhone is not bad.
Dont trash iphone just because your tilt has horrible battery life.

I use it every day from about 8 A.M. to 10 at night, talking, listenin’ to music chattin’ with the ladies (they all love it), internet over 3G or WiFi (depending where I am), and mobile gaming. Lasts me 4.5 days on average but when it’s a slow week I’ll get between 5 and 6 days.
