Motorola releases BlackBerry Connect for AT&T Q9 Global!
In a shocking and stunning move, way ahead of the rumored Q1 2008 release date, Motorola has just released BlackBerry Connect for the Motorola Q9 Global on AT&T! Here’s the run down on compatible data plans from AT&T as of October the 1st.
- PDA Enterprise Unlimited for BlackBerry Connect – allows unlimited corporate (BlackBerry Enterprise Server) and personal (BlackBerry Internet Service) email plus web browsing and other data usage
- PDA Enterprise Unlimited for BlackBerry Connect + Tethering – allows the above services, plus using the device as a modem for your laptop
- PDA Enterprise Unlimited for BlackBerry Connect + Tethering + Cellular Video – allows the above services, plus Cellular Video service on your device

UPDATE: This is the same version of BlackBerry Connect that’s been floating around the net. It didn’t work then, and doesn’t work now. We don’t like you anymore, Moto. You got us excited.

I use the 8310 now and I’m on BIS. Ive been looking at this phone, but like the email of my BB. Can you explain how this BB Connect will work for us BIS users a little more? Thx
AT&T killed this earlier this week due to the problems with it, it was set for launch 3 days ago.
if you want BB email, get a berry and don’t waste time with it on a symbian, windows mobile or palm. Non BB devices don’t support bis, and never work as well as good ole rim devices. Its like putting a hemi in a 88 tercel.

so if you have a pin, does that mean you can use blackberry messenger because right now, thats the only thing keeping me with my curve?

you can only recieve PIN messages, not send them…looks like your keeping your curve mjrkjm

i have the tilt and wanted to use the bbc can someone give me advantages how does the push email work compared to regular outlook mail on wm6?
Basic break down is Push email, you will get your emails as soon as they arrive, rather then having to go in and choosing send/recieve, then getting your emails.
I have unlimited pda data plan now with the Tilt will I need to add the Blackberry connect plan, BIS, or what in order to use BB Connect?
@Broker, yes, you’ll need to change to PDA + BB Connect.
I am using the Q9h and the BB connect works fine… I got it set up this morning all OTA. I’m using Vista and Vista blows so I decided just to OTA all the downloads etc. You don’t need to use the desktop software.
