AT&T Samsung BlackJack recall update!
Ok, so it isn’t a full-blown recall leading to mass hysteria (would’ve been cool, though). The official word from Samsung is that devices manufactured between November ‘06 through February ‘07 might have the connectivity and dropped calls issue. If you’re one of the unlucky ones, you can call AT&T Exchange at 1-800-801-1101 to get your swap on. No idea if you’ll get a brand new unit or a refurb, though, and just to be clear, it isn’t a recall. Just some units having some problems, fellas. Mmm, yeah…have we stressed enough that our BlackJack II has connectile dysfunction as well? Oh, we did.

i got a blackjack and it was ok for the first cupl weeks then broke like the pos it is. sumsung sucs.
I got a refurbished unit. Mine original was manufactured in Dec 06. My refurbished unit was manufactured in July of 2006

can I take my BJ1 back and get a BJ2 or a BB?
BJ is trash. Mine went haywire after the 91st day. What a rip off? Where is CINGULAR? I am afraid my phone is going to blow up. It drops calls. The screen goes out of whack, just like the TV screen that has lost its signal. It makes a hissing sound. I have to remove the battery to stop the noise. The phones turns off and you can’t go throught the procedures to turn it back on. Once again, RIPOFF RIPOFF RIPOFF. Am I the only one cursed. Oh yeah, I have insurance to replace it for $50.00 but why? It is not even 6 months old. I spent a lot of time at the AT&T office as well as talked to different representatives from the 1-800 and 1-888 numbers. What a waste. The only thing they could say was, “I understand you frustrations, your 90 day warranty is over and get this, “THANK YOUR FOR CHOOSING AT&T. What a waste of the english language!!!!!
Blackjack is a piece of c..p, and ATT is a joke. They sent me another BJ – four times!(in only a few months).
Connectile disfunction, lol… Luckily my BlackJack is just fine and I’m not experiencing any problems so far.
I am going to try to get a bold refurb. BJ2 is a joke!
My daughter’s Black Jack II has definite problems. We returned the original one to AT & T, got a refurbished one and it had the same problems. Takes forever to send a text and now it won’t even power up completely and it is useless. I am sure they will be sending another refurbished one and we will most likely experience the same problems.
I have had my BJ2, 372 days. I was using it, pressed a button and the screen went white. Took the battery out, tried a hard reset. Everything works, I can hear it and it syncs to the PC, but I have the dreaded white screen of death. I didn’t drop it, it didn’t get wet, it is just apparently planned obsolescence. I used to be a big Samsung fan… but no more. ATT?…… no bueno por nada….nuff said!
