$12,000 for an NES game?
If you’re completely insane. A rare game cartridge for the original Nintendo Entertainment System has hit the auction market, and the price is a little bit….high. The game, Nintendo World Championship 1990, is one of, if not the single rarest game ever manufactured for the system. The cartridge that is currently for sale has a Buy It Now price of precisely $12,000. Granted it’s one of only 116 ever made, but for our money, we’d much rather cop a couple of diamond-studded Playstation controller chains…

I think I remember playing that game. Wow if I would have only known.
check it out

I’m not surprised I found out awhile back how much money retro games could bring in while looking for some older ones lucky for me I always collected games and kept my old ones
Now that they stopped servicing NES’ I hope the highest bidder spends money on a few systems to play it on.
lol what if you spent 12k on this. got it home, tried to play it…. and had to blow in it to make it work LOL and pull out your best old school make your Nintendo game work methods. slamming it hard in the machine and all that lol
id be PISSED!! lol
especially if it froze if i got super far lol.
those where the days lol. word to the dvd rom lol high five
P.S. – im saving ALL my kids toys. im getting a storage and buying them two of everything. Clearly the chances of it all paying off one day are high. lol
I have a whole box, maybe 30…40, of old NES games just sitting in my closet. If the bids are real, I might as well start selling them now, hell sell 10 them for half that price.
Seems every couple of months one of these goes up for auction, last one went for $21,400 so the $12,000 is getting jipped off lol

Man, can you believe that game is 17 years old already? Boy how time flies.
I could never beat the first Ninja Turtles on the NES.
thats just stupid paying that much for a stupid game
