OK, so…we went on a little mission trying to find the LG Voyager this morning. It is practically sold out everywhere, and believe us when we mean everywhere! We literally called over 100 + Verizon Corporate stores looking for the phone just to see how it was selling, and if you’re still looking for one, here are the stores that we found that still have some stock as of 12:00PM ET:
- Burlington, VT
- Hunting Station, NY
- Bridgewater Communications, Bridgewater, NJ
- Upper East Side, NY
- Circuit City Mid-town, NY
- Circuit City Union Square, NY
- Massapequa, NY
- Commack, NY
- Patchogue, NY
- Meriden Mall, CT
That’s about it! Let us know if you manage to grab one!

WOW! That thing is selling fast or nobody is buying them.

not sure how many the corporate stores got, but on the indirect side inventory was constrained to say the least. the entire midwest and south region was only allocated 3600 units
the phones a pretty big letdown, the novelty wears off real quick when you realize it doesnt really do anything special

THANK YOU! For a second there I thought I was going out of my mind. I mean what’s the big deal? Something like this doesn’t even hold a candle to the Tilt or iPhone…

Are you sure it is “Hunting Station, NY” and not “Huntington Station, NY” ????

Today I went to 5 verizon stores and 4 kiosk in my area. most all of them said they sold out within the first hour. But one kiosk I went to tried to tell me if i wanted one I would have to put a down payment on the phone just to get on a “waiting” list and when i tried saying I was just going to call Verizon to order they tried telling me that they were sold out too. HA I called and its on its way.

The stores in this area, only got 2 to 5 units and they all sold to people that had Verizon accts with contracts and the fact that they wanted to have the iphone but just couldnt. Felt good to see a guy I know working for HORIZON, and carrying the Iphone in his right hip pocket and smiling.

Gotta say, I was at a Verizon store today and checked it out. While it is a nice phone, and the best Verizon has to offer in the way of multimedia and style, I wasn’t that impressed by it. Especially by the fact that it can’t sync with Outlook
? What’s that all about? They go through all the trouble to create a phone that’s close to the iPhone and can’t come up with something that will sync and have a flash for the camera? Wow…

Many of the Best Buy’s got shipments in today. We are a Best Buy Mobile store in Massachusetts and we got them in at like 2:00pm and was sold out by 4:00pm.

many fo the coporate stores are selling out of thier inventory for only NEW lines
some stores did not take this idea, and were sold out by NE2 upgrade people 30 minutes after opening.
i know the local stores her ein my area were not selling them unless you were getting new lines. instead they were ordering(or defilling) the people who came in with new every 2 upgrades.

I was able to get my new Voyager the day before Thanksgiving at the first Verizon store I went to. This phone is absolutely sweet! Finally a touch screen that is really responsive. The phone is slick, and does everything it claims and more. It has 3G capability and live mobile TV with a very sharp bright picture. The GPS navigator is awesome. I love it!! I am glad I didn’t settle for the iphone now!

Lots of people are jumping ship from other carriers just for this phone asa they should. This is a awesome phone on the BEST and fastest network. Apple and Iphone can’t top that. True that the Iphone UI is FAR superior to any phone but OVERALL the Voyager is better.

You must work for Verizons advertising dept, you sound exactly like the advertisements on TV.
iPhone still number 1

I do not work for Verizon. I’m just stating the facts. This phone is cool, sleek, and very capable. The TV function is far ahead of anyone else. Plus, Verizon didn’t over price the phone by $200 and then drop the price for the others. The Voyager is truely multimedia at its best!

Wow that’s not a biased and uniformed statement…

I was lucky enough to get the Voyager at our mall in town here. All I can say this thing feels so sexy in my hand and the best phone I have ever had! My friends in school want it now.

Everyone is entitled to there own opinion and views in this marvelous country, however IMHO YOU work for Verizon or live a closeted life. Its good but NOT that good/great. If thats what floats your boat and you like crippled devices and paying more for less, knock yourself out

Guess what? In this marvelous country, I have a free choice, and I picked the phone that does a lot more things, better and faster. I have other students trying to borrow my phone all the time now. I could have bought a iphone, but why? Get a life and a new phone and you’ll be a happier person.

What’s so great? It’s just the enV with a touch screen on the outside.

Has anyone with the new Voyager phone found a way to sync contact and calendar with Outlook?

People - to sync with your Outlook just use the same email client that is avaible on the V - 9800, and the enV - 9900. Wireless Sync E-mail can sync you contacts calendar and email…. but it is expensive. You can get it under Get It Now in the email section. We should push for verizon to lower the price from 19.99 a month!

I don’t work for Verizon, but I do really like the Voyager. The TV is really great. I had them transfer all my contacts at the store.
There are utilities within the microsoft live area that will enable you to import and export contacts and appointments, but it’s a manual process. Someone will write an app to do this if there isn’t one already.
I do really like the phone, though. I’ve never used the iPhone, so I can’t compare it, but I think it’s an either or thing. Once it’s out a while, that will be the real test.

Is there a way to sync the LG voyager to Microsoft Outlook via USB connection - avoiding the $20/month wireless sync fee? All I really want/need is my outlook calendar on my phone. Thanks!

I was told by a VZ rep you can do so via wireless sync from your PC:

the voyager isn’t yet listed as one of the devices you can use, but I think they just need to update the site.
