The iPhone is NOT a smartphone. It is not revolutionary either. I would expect the google phone to be more revolutionary than any smartphone out there. HTC+Android will blow everyone else away.

lysdexia, Pillow biter, Edge speed is outdated…its funny too, because the only carrier in the US that has HSDPA is AT&T and even though the iphone is exclusive to AT&T they didnt even take advantage of it. Even though multi-touch is new, its still touchscreen. The whole concept of touchscreen (multitouch or not) is not practical for people on the move. And since im hating on the iphone right now…if i paid $400-$600 for an iphone, why do I have to hack into it to get it to do what I want it to do? If youre restricted by the manufacturer/carrier on what you can do with “your” phone (ringtones, applications, carrier choice, etc), then is it really your phone?
Its ammusing how people dont question the iphone’s limitations and they just accept what Apple puts out on the market as the latest and greatest. Apple may be a great computer/OS company, but it seems to me theyre better at sheep herding.

I call bullsh!t on this. Speaking as a pilot, no pilot would ever say this over the intercom, let alone listen to any passenger’s complaints about the weather or what’s going on. The tower has control over everything, like it or not, while you’re on the ground. This sounds too made up.

haha….PWNed. I hate those iphone commercials, espcially the one with the pilot. If you knew anything about the airline industry, you would know that commercial is a fake. And if you knew anything about mobile phones, then you would know practically any phone can check weather. everyone, quit thinking the iphone is cutting edge. Its technology and specs are outdated, and touchscreen is not as usable as everyone thinks. Other manufacturers have come out with touchscreen years before Apple, and theres a reason why it never took off……NOTHING BEATS REAL BUTTONS! qwerty = thumbs up, touchscreen = garbage.

I would of walked up to the cockpit flicked the pilot in the forhead and then asked then flight attendant if she has her GED or she found a diploma in a cracker jack box.
