i sadly had my TI stolen , i can’t wait to replace it just hold one in your hand,it’s like holding an old friend you feel comfortable with it
i love vertu’s you can’t take your money with you so why not spend it lol

I have one of the earliest versions of the Ascent. I love it, the concierge service is INVALUABLE for international travelers.
For a token charge of $750 they are upgrading my old version into a TI.
The phone is the most “bulletproof” I have ever owned. I have replaced 10 business phones in the 3 years that I have had the Vertu as my personal cell phone. Those cheap plastic phones are meant to be disposable – adding to the landfills, toxic waste, etc. What’s wrong with buying a quality well built product that can be upgraded, rebuilt, or even repaired?
In the 1960’s no one threw out a broken TV, they had it repaired – because they were built to be repaired, not thrown out.
I wish more companies thought like this – repair instead of discard.

The point of this phone has nothing to do with features. It’s about having a very well built and exclusive phone. The people that buy these phones can case less about the price.

While I don’t think the world of these phones. I do think that they are marketed at a very specific audiences and more than anything a certain type of traveler. Now a question, I thought the 2100Mhz band was only good for Europe and not really that useful in the US? Wouldn’t make it just another one of their GSM devices? I do hope I am wrong as I am in the search for a cheap 3G and found a few but the whole 2100Mhz band does nothing for me.
