Black Friday: T-Mobile Fly Free
Most major stores offer incredible door buster deals on the Friday after Thanksgiving, Black Friday. This year T-Mobiile is no exception. They are offering a free airline flight to new and existing users. Yeah, you heard that right. All new customers who sign up for a new line with a myFaves plan will get a free flight from one of 59 major US cities to one of 10 destinations (New York City, Boston, Washington DC, Chicago, Miami, Orlando, Dallas, Atlanta, Las Vegas and Los Angeles). Existing myFaves customers can sign up after extending their contract 2 more years and be entered to win one of 5,000 free flights specially designated for existing customers. Here’s the best part: this deal isn’t just offered on Black Friday, but any customer who signs up for a two-year service agreement with T-Mobile betwee November 23–25, 2007 gets a flight. If you’ve been wanting to switch to T-Mobile, you might want to wait till November 23rd and get a free flight to see Grandma Vegas along with that new T-Mobile Shadow.

If I sign up for the 2 year and cancel when I get back, wonder if there is a penalty?

Haha wow… That is really a crazy deal! You could techincally just sign up for it then cancel and pay the 200 bucks and it would be cheaper than an actual ticket…

Where are all the people complaining about current customers not getting the same deal as new ones. It seems like when VZW, AT&T, and Sprint have a deal for new customers people complain that they can’t get it. This is larger than $50 off a phone, only 5000 tickets for their existing customers to win? I’m not complaining, first I don’t have t-mob, 2nd i understand that new customers always get better deals initially, but customer loyalty can payoff with discounted monthly dues. it just seems like there are a large number of people that don’t understand this, and they bash the other carriers for doing the same thing.

Is it one flight per phone or per account? If I get a family plan I would need 3 tickets. T-mobile may be seeing my money.

Free flights are for new and existing customers, just renew your contract for 2 year, and have a myfaves rate plan, and fill out the “rebate-ish form” and you get a free flight roundtrip.
If you already upgraded and extended on 11/21, you can still call cust care and have them renew on the 23rd, and still be eligible…
You have to still have the rate plan on Feb29th ( no past due either) when they process the free flight vouchers, earliest you could fly would be March of 08, but you have until April of 09 to use it. You must give the travel agency 30 days…
The sweepstakes for 5000 more flights is just extra…

I just learned we were denied because we had a late balance in Jan. The sales lady for T-mobile told us that it was ok to have a late balance as long as BY Feb. 29, you didn’t have one. I don’t like being mislead. I have been a customer of theirs for over five years, I wonder how many others they jipped into this deal by telling them the same thing. I contacted a “representative” today who said that there was no one I could talk to because the company that handles the promotion is no longer available. What?

I have not received my voucher yet. Was an existing customer and changed to MyFaves plan over the phone on 11/25. Did not take effect until my next billing cycle, but was told I qualified. I have been fearing the worst since I signed up. I called last month and they said the voucher were MAILED in March and would arrive in April (despite original details saying we would receive them in March). I called today since it is April 30th and was redirected to 605-978-2047 which was already “closed” but the recorded message said that if you haven’t received your voucher you should wait until May 1st before calling again. I hope they are extending the one year window to use the vouchers as well! I was also under the impression that balance had to be current on February 29th, not every month up to that date. My boyfriend has his own plan and has not received his voucher either. I have a feeling they are going to have a lot of unhappy customers over this promotion.

T-Mobile did not honor their promotion, we received booking request forms and it required 3 different destinations and 3 separate dates. We signed up with T-mobile just to take advantage of this promotion. T-mobile denied our booking request forms because we were only interested in Miami as a destination. Although they told us it was okay to choose only one destination when we called and asked, they denied us afterwards. This forced us to purchase airline tickets 2 weeks before our vacation at a cost of $425.00 more than if we would have bought them earlier. We cancelled our contract and they penalized us $600.00 more. I’ll never do business with this company again… pure corruption.

T-Mobile has said our vouchers have been mailed. There is a T-Mobile agent working with me everyday for weeks trying to assist us. TLC has not sent our vouchers and it is July 2008. Never again.
