Apple / AT&T activation server down?

Anyone noticing any iPhone activation issues out there? We got a couple tips that they were down, but haven’t been able to confirm this ourselves yet.

Down for me! Just bought one earlier and for some reason it keeps stalling at activation screen yet doesn’t give an error, just a white page.

This is the reason why I buy activated phones because then I don’t get hit with this shit.

Maintenance, or upgrades, who knows? this happens often enough that you just hurry up and wait

And why cant they just activate it in the store like every other normal phone/phone service?

Apple is a little too arrogant at this point.

Confirmed! Apple Tech claims the activation server (only have 1 server) crashed today.
Itunes prompted me for the 2.0 firmware upgrade. Upgrade cannot complete without the activation server. My iphone is now usless! Way to go Jobs!
