I put in a resume as well a while back. but…

I wouldn’t put my family at risk with a company that has been around one year by leaving my current job to write full time. Nobody else should either.

With that said, BG I think you would do better to reform the way you attempt to hire people. Recruit more talented writers instead of just one full time writer, and devise a payment agreement that rewards them by how often they post new articles and by how much traffic there articles generate. This enables you to generate a very cost effective larger writer base that will deliver alot more diversity and variety of content.

Seemingly BGR does not think any of it’s own readers are good enough to write for them if they haven’t contacted anyone as of yet, their has been 3 posts, to which I’m positive many have submitted the required information, yet still looking…maybe all those who have submitted (including myself) should ask themselves if they really wanna write for BGR anyways.

    Don’t feel so bad folks.

I submitted way back in October, followed up with another e-mail and they haven’t gotten back to me either - and I already regularly contribute to a tech blog :S

I’ll keep on reading BGR though.

Wow, I cant believe all of you are whining about not being contacted. Did it ever cross your mind that they’re still looking because they’ve yet to find their ideal candidate through all of your submissions? Yes, I mean yours. You may think you’re good, but it doesn’t mean they think the same thing.

Dave - I hear you, and think your point is valid. On the flip side, I understand the frustration of those who have applied and heard nothing. Not all that long ago, it was common COURTESY to reply to ALL job applicants; a simple “Hey we got your application” letter, and/or a “Thanks, but we found someone better” letter really weren’t too hard to produce. It’s all about courtesy, which people and businesses nowadays seem to lack. C’mon, BGR!
