One of our readers sent in these pics of the new Verizon BlackBerry Pearl 8130, and we have to say, we’re jealous! You know the specs by now: 1xTT / Ev-DO, Bluetooth, 2 megapixel camera with video recording, external MicroSD slot, SureType keyboard, etc. Click on to the gallery below, and you’ll see exactly what we’re seeing — Verizon people, for the first time we might actually enV you — the BlackBerry 8830 looks like a monster next to this!

sure it is EV-DO, but is it rev. A? i want to use this as a modem every so often and, as such, have been holding off for a rev. A BB.

Does the mms work with 8130 w/ Alltel. I can’t seem to get it or find it on the messaging center

I live in vail (no I’m not rich, I work 3 jobs) and Verizon is the only network that works reliably (or at all) a hundred miles in any direction. Yeah, it’s a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for.
As for my new Pearl 8130, I dunno why anyone in their right mind would buy the more expensive iPhone when BB offers an 8 gig memory card. The iPhone is an uber-expensive, oversized brick compared to the new pearls. And aside from “true” wi-fi, I see no reason to waste my money.
This phone is just badass, yo.
