iTunes 7.5, Quicktime 7.3 hit the web
We knew this day was coming, but thankfully Apple has blessed us with their iTunes 7.5 update right on time. The new version of their venerable media software offers a number of functional improvements. Check out the complete list here:
- iTunes 7.5 features the ability to activate iPhone wherever service is offered and support for Phase, a new interactive music game designed exclusively for iPod nano (third generation), iPod classic, and iPod (fifth generation). This release also includes bug fixes to improve stability and performance.
Right…so we don’t have much to go on here, but it’s still a worthy upgrade nonetheless. The company also dropped Quicktime 7.3, which contains the following fixes:
- QuickTime 7.3 addresses critical security issues and delivers:
- Support for iTunes 7.5
- Updated support for creating iPhone-compatible web content
- Updated JavaScript support in the QuickTime Web Plug-in
- Numerous bug fixes
Both of these are available effective immediately from Apple.com, as well as directly from software update. Enjoy!

So it’s basically useless, right?
Not if they fix the horrible bugs I’ve been having on Vista, remove all the extraneous services, and generally just rewrite the whole thing under Windows.
Let’s see, it says “designed exclusively for iPod nano” Yep, pretty much useless.
(Shouldn’t this article have been posted in the advertisement section?)
tele – bugs with programs running on vista? no, you joke?
Why would the author of this post claim that the new Itunes version was still “a worthy upgrade” when there are almost no details about it besides what they copied from Apple? Who writes this stuff? This is just filler crap for an otherwise ok site.
I just wish that they’d fix that black box that iTunes is when you open it in Vista.
I’m hoping they’ve fixed that bug where anytime you try to rename a song, and you happen to press the delete key, it functions as if you’ve pressed enter. To delete a character, I can only use backspace.
This update did a few great things for my iTunes (Mac)
1. Added the battery status to the iPod
2. I no longer get the “Cannot write to XXX’s iPod” – which in itself is the best yet!
