Wait… so lets say i have an unlimited data plan already as it is…. and i want to add a blackberry, will i have to get that extra blackberry plan for the bb to get the unlimited services?

Is that $30 plan still good? Does anyone else know of a great deal from sprint? somewhere around affordable- e.g- $30-$40 a month with everything included, unlimited web browsing, unlimited sMS and etc..

Does anyone know if Sprint will be getting new versions of Blackberry? I would like to purchase on in April but don’t want to get one and then they come out with an upgraded model a week later! Thanks

you can have the regular power vision plan on your blackberry you will just lose out on the emailing capabilites thats the only reason why the plan cost more. and if you are going to do that whats the point of even having the phone… the security features??

Well I tell you this, I have Sprint, and I have 5 lines, and I have no complaints at all but one. What is the point of having to pay 30 dollars a month to just have the BB data package. Why can’t you just use the regular Sprint Power Vision package. Its not the reasons of this plan breaking my pockets, its the simple fact of just getting milked for more money.

Lucky You! I just bought a BlackBerry Pearl 8130 through Sprint, and it was defective. I’ve spent much time in their store, and on the phone with tech support just to get the phone where it should be (and now, the replacement that isn’t defective). Again, “lucky you” if you don’t need customer service, but some people can’t get around it.

I just spent 2 hours on the phone with Sprint. First of all, the $30 plan is the current offer from Blackberry, not sprint. Sprint offers it because BB offers it to them. I have a Business plan, 5 lines, 4000 minutes. I can switch from my old ppc-6700 to the BB pearl, but it will increase my monthly rate. So a 25$ add a line with 30$ BB data plan is 55$/month. What I don’t like is the way BB explains the data plan. I think they make it confusing to Sprint reps because the BB email is not clear. And yes, Sprint Customer service sucks. I found a phone line and phone on our bill that does not exist. Nice. Not.

OK, according to Sprint, the CS person should be able to lookup “Blackberry $30″ in their system and get all the details of the plan. The $30 plan does not include access to the BB Enterprise server, which means that if you want access to your corporate email in real time, you need the $39.99 plan which is comparable to Verizon’s plan. It does include using your BB as a modem, but it does not include text messaging and Sprint Navigator, two things that were included in the $30 plan. Good Luck to all!

OK, here is another glitch to all this. I got them to switch my husband’s BB to the $30 plan and then he lost his connection to the BB Enterprise server. He can still get his email “pushed” to his BB, but it is not “In sync” anymore. Anybody have any thoughts on this? I have about 1 1/2 hours until Sprint CS is back up, apparently a little Indian guy with a very heavy accent told me they are having a technical upgrade and I need to call back. So professional! Just gives me more time to get more annoyed.

you don’t need to be on ensemble system. I am on the P2K system and they added it fine (prior to I think Nov. 25th or something) you had to be on ensemble, BUT NOT ANYMORE

I am not on the ensemble system (I think I’m on P2K or something?)and they told me it would be nearly impossible to change it over to ensemble. I guess I will go into the store and see if they can do it, but the first time I went into the store when I activated my Blackberry, they told me about the plan, and said it was on there, but of course that didn’t happen either….

Well, I finally got the $30 BB plan. I had called 3 times…got hung up on after a 10 minute wait the first time, the second time the little wait monitor kept increasing the minutes so I hung up after 15 minutes, but the third time was the charm. A wonderful girl named Maria helped me and while it took her a few minutes away from the phone, she came back with a positive answer. I have a family plan and that didn’t seem to matter. I verified that they did have the Ensemble billing system. We live in the Northwest Detroit, MI area. Hope that helps somebody. Perseverance is the key. I have never had a cell phone contract go smoothly, so I guess I shouldn’t have been disappointed.

It all depends on who pick up the phone. This is terribe that some of us can, some can’t, and others are getting incorrect info. Sprit has to get it together. REALLY!

it’s Ensamble, and it’s the $30 BIS plan. if that doesnt work, i would have it escalated and they will put it on for you. this is for those having issues adding it.

Also, they tried to tell me the plan wasn’t worth getting, because the web browsing would be slower than on the $39.99 plan. When I told them that for a $15 a month savings, that would be ok, they transferred me again. If anyone can help, that would be great.

I tried to add the $30 BB plan as well today, and for the 3rd time I was refused. First, they said it didn’t exist, then they found it. Then they said it was not available on the old billing system, then another manager said it was. THEN, they said it’s not available on your BB if you have your BB on a family plan. So basically you can’t get the $30 plan if you have more than one line set up under your account. It would be nice if anyone at Sprint knew what they were doing.

Is this plan available on their web site? I can’t find it anywhere and was given more expensive plan options when selecting the new blackberry pearl. It’s a very close decision if I stay with sprint, and not having this plan will probably be the deciding factor. Thanks!

I have a case number and we communicate through email. She sometimes needs to call me. But, i believe you can get the umber off the Sprint Website. its going to start with a 703 area code. i went through my calllog and the number is gone. i’m sorry. if i find it i will post it. thanks!

Elizabeth, you are right. I feel the same way. These companies need to have their employees on the same page. they are hands down the worst customer service i have ever had to deal with. i love my phone and my service si good, but to call and get help is worth me giving up. i can’t take it. i now go directly to corporate, because its a waste to talk to regular reps.

My husband just got a BB 8830 and the brochure said the BB plan was $30. He took it to work to get all set up and they had to call Sprint who said the plan was $39.99. We will take Tiffany’s advise and call back and inquire about the Ensamble network. I will not take no for an answer, we just upgraded 4 phones and I will cancel it all if I have to. Just like Sprint, I knew it hadn’t gotten better.

SERO plan are great but they dont cover BB usage. if it were a regular PDA you’d be doign good because it cover EVERYTHING. But for BB if you want to use email and BB service you have to add a pkan on to that also.
