The Blackberry 8130 was designed for CDMA networks. TMobile, Cingular/ATT Wireless us GSM networks. Keep an eye out for the Blackberry 8120 which will be the model for the GSM networks. 8120 is already available in some European countries but my guess, I would expect this to be out by the summer 2008 in the U.S.

all other companies come out with the phone as soon as they get it. Along with all the malfunctions, and problems. Sprint had a reasoning for waiting to unleash this spectacular phone! I have it, ITS AMAZING!!! NICE WORK SPRINT!! cant beat a $30 blackberry plan either!!

CRY! I’m really begining to hate being on Sprint more so for their inability to have good phones before anyone else. I’ve kept my crappy old Samsung for 3 yrs. I skipped getting a new phone in Oct 2006 when I was at my 2 yr upgrade point simply because they had complete crap out for phones. Now after reading how poorly they’re doing and their inability to “get it” and realize they need to have nice phones sooner instead of later to keep and gain customers I almost wish I didn’t have until Oct 08 to get out of my contract. I get a great discount with having so many things I’ve had with them grandfathered into my contracts since I’ve been with them for like 10 yrs, but. I like the latest phones.. Not stuff 1-2 yrs after everyone else.

Is 11/8 for Verizon and not a nicely wanted bump up from 11/23 for Sprint? I hope so! I don’t want to wait until Black Friday to go get a phone! I have shopping for OTHERS to start to do.

I just had an email from the manager of the Rochester, NY VZW store where I’ve reserved a Pearl. He said: “The launch of the “Pearl” has been delayed until Thursday 11/8/07. Sorry for the inconvenience!!”.

Just spoke to my biz rep…looks like we are looking at Nov. 8th as the day. No mention of pre-order option on his computer, but who knows. This is also for Business sales, so maybe we get lucky and web sales start tomorrow???

It’s the Pearl 2, but for CDMA. It’s redesigned with the keyboard, memory slot, and has GPS. When ATA&T gets the Pearl 2, it will be the same design as this one except will have WiFi I think instead of GPS but will be the second version of the Pearl they’ll be getting, the 8120. CDMA peeps just just got skimped on having a first version of the Pearl and are getting the 2nd generation of it as their first phone. Someone correct me if I’m wrong?
