BlackBerry Pearl 8130 confirmed for 11/23 launch on Sprint!
All you loyal Sprint-loving BlackBerry users will sure as hell be pleased as punch with this one! We’ve received a 100% confirmation on the BlackBerry Pearl 8130 launch for Sprint, and it’s November the 23rd. Yeah, that’s Black Friday, guys! We tried to give y’all the drop on this a while back, but now we’ve confirmed it. Also, a quick heads up — the color of the Pearl on Sprint is amethyst. Save those dollars, port those numbers, and mark 11/23 on your Sprint calendar!
I just had an email from the manager of the Rochester, NY VZW store where I’ve reserved a Pearl. He said: “The launch of the “Pearl” has been delayed until Thursday 11/8/07. Sorry for the inconvenience!!”.
Is 11/8 for Verizon and not a nicely wanted bump up from 11/23 for Sprint? I hope so! I don’t want to wait until Black Friday to go get a phone! I have shopping for OTHERS to start to do.
It’s Nov. 8 for Verizon. They are taking pre-orders on the Pearl right now on the site…

I’m really begining to hate being on Sprint more so for their inability to have good phones before anyone else. I’ve kept my crappy old Samsung for 3 yrs. I skipped getting a new phone in Oct 2006 when I was at my 2 yr upgrade point simply because they had complete crap out for phones. Now after reading how poorly they’re doing and their inability to “get it” and realize they need to have nice phones sooner instead of later to keep and gain customers I almost wish I didn’t have until Oct 08 to get out of my contract. I get a great discount with having so many things I’ve had with them grandfathered into my contracts since I’ve been with them for like 10 yrs, but. I like the latest phones.. Not stuff 1-2 yrs after everyone else. 
I was told by an area manager from Sprint, that the new Pearl would be available between. Nov. 5-9.
PS NEVER because T Mobile Sucks becuase they will never get 3G!!!

Sprint is reaaly pissing me off also. I’ve been with sprint for about nine years and by damm if they aren’t the last to get on board with the lastest phones.

all other companies come out with the phone as soon as they get it. Along with all the malfunctions, and problems. Sprint had a reasoning for waiting to unleash this spectacular phone! I have it, ITS AMAZING!!! NICE WORK SPRINT!! cant beat a $30 blackberry plan either!!
The Blackberry 8130 was designed for CDMA networks. TMobile, Cingular/ATT Wireless us GSM networks. Keep an eye out for the Blackberry 8120 which will be the model for the GSM networks. 8120 is already available in some European countries but my guess, I would expect this to be out by the summer 2008 in the U.S.
