Pantech Duo officially rocks on AT&T
Not that it was any surprise to us, but the Pantech Duo has made its way to the AT&T network in all its dual-sliding glory. We were fortunate enough to grab a unit a couple days early, and found ourselves loving the concept of the device. We never thought we’d say this, but the handset is almost too small for real power-usage. At least for us. The QWERTY keyboard is nice, but lays completely flat unlike the Helio Ocean. The actual number pad is great with awesome tactile feedback, and we found the Duo very zippy in almost everything from web browsing, to MMS sending, and email. Throw in BlackBerry Connect, AT&T, and you got a consumer and prosumer hit on your hands. It’s available starting today for $199.99 with a 2-year agreement.

Damnit. I was going to add this to my arsenal for the hell of it but $249 w/ $50 MIR and a 2 year is way too high. I’ll hit up $199 flat out but any MIR’s, I mean they just got the second one for my Tilt that I sent out like three weeks ago, so thanks but no thanks. No wifi? Why the hell not? C’mon Pantech WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Bluetooth 1.2 ??? no stereo bluetooth?? nope.
It does have stereo bluetooth. And it operates on EDGE/UMTS/HSPDA 1.6. If you want speed, pick up the MOTO Q 9h Global, it rocks GPS, HSDPA 3.6, 2 Megapixel, etc. Battery life on the standard battery sucks though. Battery life on the Pantech is better, which is a MAJOR plus I think. Plus it has a nice screen. As much as the iPhone sucks, it sure as hell is good at lasting through a charge.

And my friend that works at an ATT store says the signal is not stellar. Says he don’t like it. Guess that means I gotta go do some personal hands-on time with it to see for myself.
HOW THE HELL DO U PUT MUSIC ON THE PANTECH AND USE THEM AS RINGTONES? IN OTHER WORDS HOW DO U CUSTOMIZE RINGTONES?
yeah i don’t know what you are smoking but i was less than pleased with the phone. definitely overpriced and the camera is horrible. blurry pictures and it is pointless to take them at night. no night mode or no flash. i had it for 4 days and i am already returning it.
not one to waste, but i simply threw this peice of junk out my window within a month of owning it
This phone is a piece of shit. I had one and within the first week, dust built up inside of the phone, blocking the screen. I returned it and got another and the same thing happened.
i like how i got a pantech duo because there was dust under the screen then you guys send me another one, then when i get it i have it for like 3 days then theres dust under the screen. this is bs.
I HAVE GONE THROUGH 3 PANTECH DUOS AND THEY ALL HAVE GIVIN ME THE SAME PROBLEM! THEY CONSTANTLY RANDOMLY DELETE MY CONTACTS AND SOMETIMES NEVER LET ME CALL OR TEXT. YOU WOULD BE BETTER OFF WITH THE SAMSUNG BLACK JACK II. IT IS AWESOME!
i am ready to throw mine off a cliff. its SLOW AS HELL, and shuts off randomly. won’t let me view my messages and takes literally hours to try to delete messages in order for it to be semi-fast. i hate this phone
anything with windows sucks. Period. Pantech makes a great phone and putting windows on this thing ruined it. Garbage!
pantech duo… is a piece of fecal matter. i am on my third phone, fourth battery, second simm card and its only been 8 months.. it does have better uses.. i could use it for target practice.. i hate it!!
I’ve had this phone for 6 months and it’s givin me lost of problems.
1. Signal randomly cuts out completely.
2. Randomly won’t send texts.
3. Dust under screen.
4. Randomly completely freezes.
5. Slides both ways at the same time.
This phone is a piece of shit.
i cant text my girlfriend and i cant watch my porn i had on it and i cant jerk off for a week cuz my gf is a bitch. fml. oh by the way this phone….is gay
