Rumor: Now that Leopard is on its way, so is an SDK for iPhone?

It might be a leap, but Business Week has made it. We know that Leopard is coming out for Macs in the next little-over-a-week. But hidden away in the Rumor Mill is something else that made our ears perk up: a software development kit (SDK) for the iPhone. BW cites sources "familiar with the company’s plans," and speculation is that it’s actually Leopard-based, which would explain the hush-hush and lack of announcement at the launch of the iPhone. Could we be seeing sanctioned, native 3rd-party applications in early 2008? We’ve run out of fingers and toes to cross.

this would make sense as apple loves to build the suspense and hype and then let loose with what people want.

Not sure about the delay between this happening and Leopard release although they did have to push back Leopard to get the iPhone out on time, not enough developers to run both groups at the same time.

    Good rumor, hope its true.

If there’s no legit* way to put third party apps on the iPhone then I don’t think I’ll be picking one up. (Nokia seems to have the right idea though.)

I’m not even going to get my hopes up..

People have been ‘rumoring’ that there would be a MMS and IM update a week after the iPhone was released. Haha

lmao, Apple sheep are pathetic. Jobs could box up a pile of scat and the Apple drones would line up to pay a premium for it.
