WebKit now working on Windows Mobile
WebKit is the amazing bit of code that serves as the technical foundation for many of our favorite browsers. WebKit also powers Nokia’s mobile browsers, the iPhone’s Mobile Safari, as well as desktop offerings from a variety of sources. Mobile Safari is arguably the most impressive aspect of Apple’s iPhone, and anyone that’s played around with a recent version of Nokia’s web browser knows just how powerful the little bugger is. There is, however, a missing link. WebKit has yet to be ported over to Windows Mobile, leaving the Microsoft crowd to languish in the world of Pocket Internet Explorer and Opera Mobile. That is, of course, until now. Wake 3, a mobile software company, has finally developed a version of WebKit that runs natively on Windows Mobile. The program is far from perfect, but does offer a window into a world of possibilities. Imagine a bit of tap-tap zoom goodness on an AT&T Tilt…

Perhaps you should watch the demo before getting too excited.
yeah the demo wasn’t that impressive I’ve been able to do that on opera mobile plus they didn’t show any zoom capabilities maybe they holding out on us till the final version is released…till then ill keep using opera mini
…..so where’s the razr 2 v8 on the tmobile site?
Let’s see if it can replace Opera Mini 4 Beta 2 on my Tilt
Great news; however, I still am, somewhat patiently, awaiting the arrival of a *Palm OS* browser that matches the ability of the Apple iPhone’s browser…Or maybe the coming of a Linux based OS for the Palm handhelds will be more likely to see the light of day – and then we can have a gluttony of hacked browsers in which to choose.

Zoom isn’t the only thing in this world. If it does Ajax right then WM users could use iPhone web apps / pages just fine – iPhone facebook is really functional, or iPhone meebo.
Of course Opera 9 has both promised, but either way, it’ll take time.
and I thought I was slick by finding a GIF on their site…

but the demo is much more illustrative
What’s with the messed up background music? Anyways, doesn’t seem to offer anything that would switch people from even PIE.
