Apple Web Apps directory goes live
After a long week of waiting and anticipation, Apple’s Web Application directory has finally gone live. You can find the list of stuff over at apple.com/webapps. There’s a healthy list of stuff right here, with applications listed by category, date added, and popularity, much like Apple’s directory of third party OS X applications. There’s also a space for a "featured application", which is followed by a list of "staff picks." The list is not exhaustive by any means, but does provide a nice compiled arrangement of some of the more popular apps out there, a list that is sure to grow as developers continue to jump on the "Web App" bandwagon. There’s a button on the homepage for App submission, though again we’re not sure on the specifics of the submission or approval process. Hit the link and get your web app one, iPhoners.

Its very funny that they are trying to sate the demand for 3rd party apps with crappy web apps. Do they still expect people to buy “Web 2.0 is the development platform for the iPhone”?
These are pretty handy.
Some are actually very good. Digg for iPhone is a great one i use everyday.
BG, how about a BG for iphone?
Will they work on unlocked phones ????
Webapps are such a hassle to load the app every time you want to use it. Until apple realizes something I will continue to use 1.0.2
well since fw 1.1.1 was jailbroken does that mean installer.apps can be used again?
Cool, these apps are great
Ok, Orb.com webapp allows for Sirius / XM streamig to iphone. That one wins hands down for me. *search apple forums.
