Lebedev remote control concept

If you’re anything like us, you’ve got an entire coffee table dedicated to storing your remote control collection. Sure you could buy a new Logitech universal remote, but where’s the style and "fresh kid on the block" status in doing that? This new remote concept from designer Art Lebedev takes care of all of those worries. That is, of course, if you can get past the interesting styling and endless row of buttons. It looks like a strip of those candy buttons we all had as kids. It’s 20" long and sports 99 buttons, which should be enough to flip through most of your favorite channels without the need to pound any one button twice. To be fair, this is more of a exercise in design than it is a demonstration of function, but something about the appearance of this thing makes us think we might stick to the coffee table stack for just a bit longer.

    What the hell is that?

It looks like they put the gay pride symbol across it.

looks like u can also beat people with it… those buttons look so small and the colors don’t vary all that much… you’d spend 5mins just looking for a button. I bet this thing will stay a concept and be inducted in the dumbest things ever invented hall of shame.
